An Unexpected Holiday: My Impromptu Trip to Reconnect with Friends and Family

Surprising people is one of my favorite things to do. There's something about seeing the shock and joy on their faces that makes my heart skip a beat. However, I've been showing up at Christmas so many times that it's become predictable. This year, I decided to do things differently.

I told my friends that I was going to visit them in their cities, but I didn't reveal when. It was exciting to plan my trip and keep them guessing about when I would show up.

My journey took me to various places in the country, including Madrid. There, I had the pleasure of reuniting with my old schoolmates after years of being apart. It was a great feeling to catch up with them and relive memories from our youth. Madrid holds a special place in my heart as it was where I began my journey as an adult.

My last stop was a surprise for my mom. With the help of my grandmother, I was able to catch her off guard by relaxing in a bar when she walked in. The look on her face was priceless.
